Situated in the confluence of three rivers, Saint-Thomé is the example of the Southern village perched at the top of a rock peak. Houses grouped together around the church Saint Thomas and of the chapel Saint Sébastien.

His origin is badly known, for lack of archives (doubtless from the IVth or Vth century). Of the strengthened wall which was supposed to defend the village, there are only few walls: ramparts on the West and the toponymy calls back the existence of two doors (or donjon): the New Door or Martin Door, place of the Portal and the Small place or Eyguière Door in the South which opened on the road leading to the source outside walls.
